Brent Hopper - Marshall, NC - 03.23.09

Born in North Carolina on March 8th, 1979, Brent Hopper has been playing music since the age of 5. Starting on piano, and playing by ear, he soon began playing drums, bass, and guitar. He was raised between Eastern North Carolina and New Smyrna Beach, FL, and left home at the age of 16 to pursue his musical aspirations. Settling in South Florida for several years, Brent began to play mandolin and fiddle and reach more into the Bluegrass world. He has since traveled the country east to west, north to south with wife Brittany and daughter Grace playing and diving more into the Old Country/Outlaw style of music.

Brent has toured and played with projects such as The Grass is Dead, Cosmic Revolution, The Almost Acoustic Band, and currently with Brittany Reilly & The Almost Acoustic Band. He has played in over 22 states, & more than 150 venues, playing proffesionally for 14 years. He began playing with Brittany right from her start in 2005 as a duo, and has been a part of every evolution of her project since.

Brent’s Instrumentation:

• Brent Hopper plays the Guitar & Mandolin with Brittany, while also adding his Vocals to the groups tight harmonies.
